THIS SHOW IS A QUALIFIER FOR THE 2012 P(UK)

WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each qualifying class wil qualify. Competitors in qualifying

positions, who are not members of Ponies Association (UK) are allowed 14 days

in which to become members and register their horses/ponies in order for the

qualification to remain valid.

No qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.

This Show is affiliated to the Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both the owner and the rider/

exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with

CHAPS (UK) to compete. These classes are also qualifiers for Ponies UK Summer Championships,

please refer to your CHAPS Handbook.

 

The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 2nd,3rd & 4th September 2011. Shows

 

held on or after date of Championship Show will count as 2012 qualifiers. Members to apply

 

in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. Ponies (UK) Summer Championships

 

will be held on 10th-13th August 2011.

 

The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers 405-409. For full rulings and information on

 

competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Membersʼ Handbook; or visit www.

 

chaps.uk.com for rulings.

 

All stallions entering these classes must be graded or valid First Stage Approved with CHAPS

 

(UK). First Stage Approved stallions are NOT permitted to enter HOYS qualifiers.

405 The CHAPS (UK) Open Youngstock Qualifier; 1,2 or 3 Year Olds; no

foals. *P(UK) -The 1st,2nd & 3rd Best Non Native type or Native/Traditional

Cob/Show Cob type yearling, 2 year old and 3 year old, any height will qualify

irrespective of class placing.

 

406 The CHAPS (UK) Non-Native Open In-Hand Qualifier.

Open to any size of horse or pony any age. *P(UK) – Qualification will be

awarded to the 1st,2nd & 3rd nonR native not exceeding 15hh (153cms),

4 years old and over, not already qualified within the class placings, “to be

shown plaited and trimmed”.

 

407 The CHAPS (UK) Native/Cob/Traditional Open In-Hand Qualifier.

Open to any size of horse or pony any age. *P(UK) – Qualification will be

awarded to the 1st,2nd & 3rd Native type exceeding 14.2hh (148cms).

4 years old and over, not already qualified within the class placings to be

shown in natural state or fully trimmed and hogged.

 

408 The CHAPS (UK) Non-Native Open Ridden Qualifier.

Open to any size of Horse or Pony 4 years old & over. All exhibits to perform

individual show and will not be ridden by the judge. *P(UK) – Qualification

will be awarded to the 1st,2nd & 3rd NonR Native exceeding 15hh (153cms)

and highest placed not exceeding 15hh (153cms) not already qualified

within the class placings. Lead rein exhibits not eligible for this class to be

shown plaited and trimmed.

 

409 The CHAPS (UK) Native/Cob/Traditional Open Ridden Qualifier.

Open to any size of Horse or Pony 4 years old & over. All exhibits to perform

will be awarded to the 1st,2nd & 3rd native exceeding 14.2hh (148cms)

and highest placed not exceeding 14.2hh (148cms) not already qualified

CHAMPIONSHIP

 

1ST & 2ND Prize Winners from Classses 405 410 to Qualify.

 

Classes 405-407 are Qualifiers for the P(UK) Apachee In hand Horse/Pony Winter

 

Championships 2012. Classes 408-410 are Qualifiers for the P(UK) Apachee Ridden

 

Horse/Pony Winter Championships 2012. 1st. 2nd and 3rd in each class to qualify.

 

RIDING PONY BREEDING

NPS Silver Medal Championship Conditions. These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS

SilverMedal Rosettes are only awarded when the Owner of the champion pony is a Member of the NPS.

A valid membership card must be in the riderʼs/handlerʼs possession on entering the ring and be

produced immediately on request by either the judge or steward. If the Owner of the Champion pony

is not a Member, or the Ownerʼs membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be

awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion

pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the Qualification Card

goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the Owner of that pony is a Member of the NPS. The

Silver Medal Rosette and the Qualification Card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals

are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.

Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Championship to be held at the NPS

Summer Championship Show in August 2012.

 

NPS/The Laybalands Stud Show Pony In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship

A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an

NPS member in the Show Pony In Hand section.

RIDDEN, SHOW & WORKING HUNTER PONIES

 

BSPS No. 113/11

This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS), and all persons entering, competing,

showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to

the Rules of the BSPS, including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented

to the jurisdiction of the BSPS.

 

BSPS “CLASSIC SECURITY (UK) LTD” CHALLENGE

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Challenge, the highest placed pony in the Lead Rein, First

Ridden of Hunter Type, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter Pony, Cradle & Nursery Stakes and

Open Working Hunter Pony, that has not qualified for the BSPS 2011 Horse of the Year Show in the

appropriate class will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS Challenge,

the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.

 

THE BSPS PREMIER LEAGUE

This show is a qualifier for the “BSPS Premier League” the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th placed ponies in the Lead

Rein and First Ridden, 128cms, 138cms and 148cms Show Pony, 133cms, 143cms and 153cms

Show Hunter Pony, Cradle Stakes, Nursery Stakes, 133cms, 143cms, 153cms Working Hunter Pony.

 

BSPS “BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES” BEST RIDER

The Best Rider in the Open Lead Rein, First Ridden, 128cms, 138cms and 148cms Show Pony, 133cms,

143cms and 153cms SHP, Cradle Stakes, Nursery Stakes, 133cms, 143cms, 153cms Working Hunter

Pony will receive a Card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships.

 

BSPS SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

This show is a qualifier for the 2011 BSPS Championships, to be held at the Arena UK. The 1st &

2nd prize-winners only in class 435-437, 444-448, 452, 453-455 inclusive, and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th

prize-winners from class 450 and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize-winners in class 451 – CS will qualify for the

BSPS Championships Show, provided the animal is registered in accordance with rule 23 & 28 and

ridden by a BSPS member.
