| Open Sheep Dog Trial Rules |
| 1. Trials commence at 10.30am. |
| 2. All dogs, except when competing, must be held by chain or cord, under a penalty of being disqualified. |
| 3. Any dog 5 minutes late after its name is called may be disqualified at the discretion of the Judge. |
| 4. No dogs except those entered or used for the purpose of the Show, will be allowed on the trial ground, |
| 5. Any dog injuring a sheep will be disqualified, and the owner of the dog liable for the damage. |
| 6. Any competitor disobeying the Judge or Stewards will be disqualified. |
| 7. No person will be allowed with the dog competing, except the man working it, who must |
| take up his place where the Judge directs, under the penalty of being disqualified. |
| 8. The Committee will decide as to the time the dogs will have allowed them to do the workset |
| out: and the Judge has the power of ordering up as soon as he pleases any dog that |
| commits a flagrant error. |
| 9. The Competitors must inspect the sheep, and any objection to them must be made to the |
| Stewards before judging commences. |
